So, one of the blogs I read occassionally is Poor Girl Eats Well, which writes about eating fancy food on a limited paycheck.

We hit one of those weeks where we have big expenses and we’ve still a long way to go to our next paycheck…
What’s your best trick for making groceries last?  Or what’s your go to cheap-but-healthy meal?

  1. Buy in bulk, so you always have plenty of food around. (Say, 25 lbs of flour instead of 5.) Grow your own and can and freeze some of it to have for the coming months. Be willing to eat basic, like meat and potatoes!
