Road Trip: Bighorn Scenic Byway, Wyoming

One of the biggest surprises on our trip was Bighorn Scenic Byway in Wyoming.  We had maps for all the states we drove through except for Wyoming; we accidentally left the Wyoming map at home. Therefore, we did not know that the highway we chose was a scenic byway.  Here’s a map of where the scenic byway is located in Wyoming

We started driving the Scenic Byway around dusk which made the view enhanced by evening light.

Along the route are signs that describe the age of the rocks along the highway.

The road was twisty and turn-y. Unsurprisingly, the road is often closed during the winter time.

Along the way we saw lots and lot of deer.

Look, we spotted a Moose!
